I'm Erik, 22 y.o. from Germany...I'm a guitarist and there's nothing I love more than music. I read an interview with Kaki in a german guitar-magazine a few days ago and checked her out... Now i can't spend a day without her music

I always thought Tommy Emmanuel is the best, until I got to know Kaki

hey guys.. i'm from nz but i'm living in canada right now, i'm 21.. and i like kaki king a lot. i'm developing an appreciation for amazing guitar and i guess that's what brings me here. hehe. i'm also on .ca cause i'm a big tegan and sara fan too.

i'm Giang, i'm from NZ as well. I'm 20, at uni. my favourite band in the world is cocorosie but there's no forums for them. one day i'll get some cash together and build one if there's still not one by then (we're talking years later cos i'm dirt poor atm).

I just saw a guy that plays really similar to Kaki about a week ago at open mic night and it was amazing. I've been trying to get all my guy mates into Kaki and they're blown away by how awesome she is but still won't listen to any of her albums

i'll keep trying.

Hi there! I'm Christine, I'm from Greece and maybe the oldest one here (I'm 32 ). I found about Kaki a couple of years ago in a guitar magazine article, then I listened to some tracks on Last.fm and that was it: I can't spend a single day without listening to her records. Btw, thanks to Last.fm I found about this forum in May. I don't post so much but I do visit the forum oftenly. Happy to be here!
Anyway, I've been playing the electric guitar for like 17 years (OMG, some of you were not even born back then LOL!),and since 2005 I've been focusing on soundscapes and live looping. I do find Kaki inspiring, especially her fingerpicking, her open tunings and the fact that she combines jazz harmony with pop elements. I also appreciate the fact that she collaborated with John McIntyre, who plays for Tortoise and The Sea And Cake, two of my most favourite bands ever. The girl knows what she's doing!

Hi everyone, my name is Pablo, I'm from Argentina. I'm 21, but it seems that I'm in the group of the "oldies"...
I began to listen Kaki King for a friend. She knows me quite well, so, she made me listen just one song of 'Until We Felt Red'. I don't remember which song was (I think that I am not going to remember... I was like in shock), but that was like a kick in the head.
It was a year ago, and I still discovering details in every song every time that I listen to it.
I play the guitar, only as hobby, but I played a couple of times with a band. I'm a chemical technician and I'm studying chemical engineering.
Well, I think that's all...

Hi everyone, my name is Amanda, and I'm from Brasil, I'm 20.
I play guitar since i was 13, I play in a band but I'm not that good. I also go to college, I study computing and have a part time job. My favorites artists are PJ Harvey, Radiohead and John Frusciante.
the first time I heard her I was watching Later with Jools Holland. She's a great musician
