my name is larry and i'm 16. i got into kaki sometime last year in the summer and have become obsessed with music. i also listen to other bands like avenged sevenfold and job for a cowboy (which are metal) but i'm a huge fan of indie/alternative/shoegaze rock too. i've been playing guitar for 2 years, i'm getting better everyday but i still can't play Doing The Wrong Thing perfectly yet. anyway, it'll be nice getting to know some of you if I stick around.

Hi, I'm Alessandra (I respond to Lila as well) from Chile. I'm 20 years old and scared of forums.
I read about Kaki in AfterEllen.com. I was amazed by her interview and checked her out, resulting in one of my many year long obsessions. I was also a huge fan of Tegan and Sara, and when I heard she knew Sara, I almost died and felt like the teenager girl I always dreaded I'd become, a teenager named Britanny, even though that's highly unlikely in my country (If there's a Britanny in here, I apologize, and acknowledge that "Lila" is a pretty ridiculous name).

I've never seen her live (but I will some day, god. damn. it.) but I've been known to cry over bootlegs in my car.

Also, I'm a film student and spend endless amounts of hours listening to music instead of studying, to my parents horror. I still get by just fine though.

I do apologize if this unreadable or just plain long.

I really AM terrified of forums.

wow, im also in my third year in "la chile" but in a completely different carrer...... (inJenieria..en beauchef).And in my free time i play the bass in two bands, the beauchef Big Band and "la tuna universitaria" (a kind of medieval folk music from spain, very fun) and i also write for a "funny" "magazine".

And on top of that I study and watch A LOT of movies

That's pretty much exactly what I would have said, except that my name's Shannon, and I'm 23. I saw Kaki at the Melbourne Tegan and Sara show, and also at her Melbourne show at the Corner Hotel in April, and think it's amazing how she seems to go into her own little world when she's playing, it's as if she doesn't even notice that there are hundreds of people watching from the audience because she's so into the music.
