Nails&guitar

Post  _Untitled_ on Mon Feb 08, 2010 5:49 pm

Hi everyone! I hope this is the right section to post this topic.
Do you use your own nails to play fingerpicking style? If so, how do you "take care" of them? I mean, using particular kind of nail polish or things like that..
My nails are sooooo weak, and they easly get damaged.
Suggestions? Smile

I don't use nails. I just use my fingertips. I'm not sure, however, whether using your fingertips or fingernails will change the quality of the sound.

I always used my fingertips until I started covering Kaki. And, trust me, with fingernails the sound is quite different..cleaner, more defined, and of course it's easier to be precise. Smile
I started growing my nails just for experimentation, and after two months I can say they're really comfortable, compared to fingertips. ^_^
