but then i consider myself a much inferior guitarist to you...
(unless if you just meant that tuning up the E makes you nervous...)

Re: Things I Like
hey there, i never said you were a great guitarist. i just said you were much superior to me.
i use pretty light strings, so i'm not too concerned about damaging the neck. And at least w/ the strings/guitar I use, the E seems fine going up to F#...if i make a mistake and tune it a little too sharp...well then i get to try to do a cheap imitation of kaki's impromptu string breakage song (there's one video of her at a concert where she breaks the B on purpose, and it drives me crazy watching her snap the string. worse than nails on a chalk board).
long story short, EGDF#BF# changed my life, and i feel silly for never trying DFCEAE.

dunkin' donuts. i haven't had them in like 10 yrs, but my dad used to wake up early some sunday mornings and go out and buy them for my sister and i...the powedery ones w/ chocolate cream inside? to die for.

Re: Things I Like
i like tea. but starbucks seems so corporate...idk.
i went to a starbucks last october or november for the first time in really long time, b/c my mom was picking me up from school for a weekend, and she likes starbucks. i saw fleet foxes' album there, and just sort of bought it on a whim 'cos it had a Bruegel on the cover. also there was some review sitting next to it that compared them to my morning jacket, a band i used to like way back in the day. so i bought it, and it turned out to be good, and now they're pretty famous, and as much as i want to tell people that "i liked them before they got big," i found their album at a starbucks...so yeah.
that was kind of a pointless story...i've just always want to be snobby and find a band that i could brag about liking before the public did. but the unknown bands i like seem to stay unknown...maybe it's a good thing. like if i heard my sister singing along to yellowcake on the radio, yeah i might go crazy.
