Doing the Wrong Thing

Post by librarian_the on Tue Sep 16, 2008 1:11 am

I read an interview a while ago in which Kaki stated she'd play Doing the Wrong Thing in E, C#, D, F#, B, F#. There's other tunings there as well; you can find it at http://www.musicplayer.com/article/kaki-king/Sep-04/3104
(I play it in EGDF#BF# though)

The only one that looks any different from the things posted here is Doing the Wrong Thing. Everything else seems to match up just fine. I'm just curious as to what you find wrong with the article. Not that I doubt you, I just don't see it.

it's CGDGAD not CDGDAD

and it's EGDF#BF# not EC#DF#BF#

the only one they got right was DADGAD.

one wrong tuned string and it messes everything up. : /

joi

Post by spicyxlilxman on Sun Oct 19, 2008 9:57 pm

Question i would like a tab/tuning for joi - i mean, really, the breakdown/bridge at 2:45 is pretty haunting. any help? thanks for any suggestions! the only song i can play is night after sidewalk, and i want to get into some of her more free-ish stuff.
