ummm... TECHNICALLY magazine is the half step below CGDGGD, but it doesnt really matter.
Brazilian is in CGDGAD
I could play some of 'first brain' in DFCEAE (the step below EGDF#BF#) |

and 'I never said i loved you" ( UNtil we felt red) is in standard tuning..
Does anyone know the tuning for 'Gay Sons of Lesbian mothers" i'm desperate to try and play that one!

thanks! i always thought it was in DFCEAE cuz it sounded right but i knew it really wasn't. it makes sense that it'd be in standard! thanks alot!

thats what i thought in the beginning. so i guess i was right DFCEAE with a capo on the second fret is how i tried playing it. |

| Hmm, you are probably right, but check out this video, and it looks (and sounds) very much like standard tuning. I have played it to this video and i'm pretty sure its in standard.. but i could very well be wrong, as i am surely no guitar virtuoso!!!

thats a really great article. i just hate how they messed up some of the tunings. its CGDGAD, not CDGDAD... that just doesnt make sense lol. and its solipsist, not solopist. 
could be very confusing for noobs. lol. |
